Happy 4th of July 2014!

 I made this patriotic banner.
It's strung above my fireplace mantel.
There are five flags in the banner.
The American flag.
Vintage patriotic children.
A vintage patriotic eagle.
A patriotic shield.
And, of course, Uncle Sam.
I found these images on the Internet and printed them on card stock paper.
The backsides are printed with patriotic sheet music.
I added star sequins wherever possible.
Both sides are sealed with ModPodge.
Sparkling tinsel is hot glued around all edges.
Each banner is hot glued to a patriotic ribbon.
I made this garland with a blue light string and
a 25' patriotic tinsel garland. It's so dreamy...
I had leftover patriotic images,
so I decided to make some gift cones.
I filled each one with candy.
I think they're kinda fun.
Next year, I'll put this banner up on Memorial
Day and leave it up through Labor Day.
Instant summer decoration!
