An Urban Street Scene
This picture was taken in Old Town Pasadena,
standing at the southwest corner of Raymond Avenue
and Colorado Blvd., looking west.
This is the other (north side) of Colorado Blvd.
Since I no longer live in South Pasadena, we
rarely visit Old Town Pasadena.
Some of my favorite restaurants are here.
Il Fornaio has been a long-time favorite of mine.
They have a bakery and wood burning oven in house.
I always order the Cappellacci di Zucca.
Back in the day, they made their pasta from scratch.
Not sure if they do this any more.
Originally, they served a pasta dish baked in their
oak wood burning oven. It was heaven.
I own their baking book and make many of the recipes myself.
Cafe Santorini is a Mediterranean/Italian restaurant.
Go on a summer evening and sit outside under the stringed lights.
I'd order the Fettuccine De Casa if I was going tonight.
Hope you're having a fantastic summer weekend!

ReplyDeleteDon't forget to join the June linky for the scavenger hunt. It's up on my blog now.
Rinda
looks like a great place to have dinner. Your street scene shows a VERY clean street...it is nice to see that.
ReplyDeleteI like your urban landscape too and a dinner out at a place that busy is sure to be good!
ReplyDeleteSuper start to the hunt. BJ
