Where Bloggers Create 2014

Welcome to my second year of participating in "Where Bloggers Create."

 http://www.mydesertcottage.com/2014/06/its-almost-that-time-againwhere.html
Originally, I hadn't planned on participating this year.
My office/studio was a mess (yes, even messier than the photos).
This blog party motivated me to clean and organize my space.
Not much has changed since last year.
Currently, I'm making some Beetlejuice
inspired pants (for my husband) for Halloween.
I've added some new toys (serious tools).
 A Cuttlebug and Sizzix Eclips.
They sure make cutting and embossing tasks much easier.
The "apple tv" used to be in the guest room.
I moved it in here because it work perfectly with Roku.
Everything is quite packed in this room.
These little cuties make me smile.
I recently added this tall, narrow book shelf to get stuff off the floor.
It holds many craft supplies.
Stampington magazines, paints, brushes, tools.
Fashion doll and paper craft books.
Cookbooks...the Mexican collection wouldn't fit in the kitchen.
Oops.  I ran out of space for my glitter.
We'll skip the closet this year.  It's not pretty.
I've been keeping Alyce around for inspiration lately.
I'm participating in a Mad Tea Party today, too. (check it out)
Plus, I'm going to be "dark" Alice for Halloween this year.
Alyce has been inspiring my costume design.

As you can see, I enjoy many different activities.
Arts, crafts, cooking, sewing...

Drop a note to say "hi."
I'd love to check out everyone else's creative spaces.

  2. Hi Carmen-- you've packed a lot of crafting treasures into this small space-- and it's all wonderfully placed. I love your big work table-- I'd die for one of those! I love the pretty Alice doll-- I'm sure the tea party is a lot of fun:)

  3. Carmen, very cute post. I laughed when I read the linky inspired you to tidy up. Me too! I loved visiting your fun creative space! I tend to rotate my treasures so I can enjoy them in my small space. Sounds like you do too. I linked my tiny closet sewing space. Come see me.
    Have a wonderful Sunday,

  4. Oooh, Carmen, I'd love to see those costumes later this year! Your creative space looks exactly as it should seeing as how you use it! : ) I like the bookcase and sometimes something tall and narrow like that does the trick. I have a hard time keeping my books and/or magazines in my space. I tend to forget they are there. Thankfully, I only have a few so I'm not missing much. Thanks for the tour!

  5. You have lots of goodies packed into your space and I'm sure I would have a blast playing with all of them. Thanks for the tour, and I am sure you aren't the only one who used the tour to get some cleaning and organizing done :-)

  6. Yeah, the linky prompted me to tidy up, too. ;)

You have a great space! With all those books, you're a woman after my heart. The little personal touches are wonderful, too.
