July 2013 Calendar

It's that time again for your free printable calendar!

Summer is definitely here.

What are your plans for the 4th of July?

Me?

I'm taking the day off and a four day weekend!

I'm sure I'll still be working on my Adam Ant Outfit projects.

I'm making my husband a pirate themed shirt out of black power mesh

fabric (the kind used in figure skating costumes).

I started out by using a long sleeved t-shirt as a pattern template.

I started placing inspiration pictures on the pattern pieces for ideas.

 I want it to look like tattoos.

 I decided to put this neat pirate ship on the front of the shirt.

I began placing painters' tape on all the areas I don't want paint.

Then, I sprayed it with this vinyl and fabric paint.

It's been drying for a few hours and I don't think it's giving me the desired effect.

Because the mesh is black, you can't even tell there's paint on there.

I guess I was hoping for more coverage.

I'm going to keep the painters' tape on and try my Tulip Soft Fabric paints next...
