Pumpkin Whoopie Pies

October is pumpkin season.
So this week I decided to whip up a batch of Pumpkin Whoopie Pies!
except, I doubled the recipe.
I also used maple syrup and vanilla extract instead of bourbon in the filling.
However, I'll bet the bourbon flavoring would be really tasty!
Gotta put that Jim Beam to good use...
 I had so much fun participating in Le Mysterieux Carnival this weekend!
It really puts you in a festive mood...
I've also been listening to the entire Moulin Rouge soundtrack...

    Thanks so much for your kind comment on my Tinkerbell cupcakes. If you don't want to use Butter you can use cream cheese instead, that makes it very rich and yummy also. And this frosting is to die for, everyone I've ever made it for just goes gaga over it. I beleive it is on original buttercream frosting recipe before confectioners sugar came about.
