Hummingbirds doing what they do in spring

Our "pet" hummingbirds have been up to what birds are usually up to in the spring... check it out.
One of our "pets" decided to make a little nest in our potted camelia tree on our front porch.  Just this week we got a little surprise in the nest.
So far, just one egg.  I read that hummingbirds usually lay two eggs at a time.  I wonder if she's working on another... we keep checking.

Our sweetly fragrant star jasmine is in bloom this time of year and the hummingbirds are loving it, along with the honeysuckle.  We listen to their chatter in the evenings, just before sunset.  I think they're trying to get their last meal in before it gets dark.
